What Does Your Dream Life Look Like?

The answer to this question is one I’ve always taken seriously. Sometimes finding myself in trying times that leaves me on the edge of comfort. Perhaps these times could be overcome by changing course, to stop taking the risks and favour a more stable solution. . But I often continue with resistance and the struggles on my shoulders. Not out of complacency or fear- but because it would move me from my path and back onto the one I fought so hard to avoid. I may long for the comforts or stability that other path promises, but its always felt like a prison sentence to me.

The path to dreams may mean living with discomfort as you move towards them- through challenges, disappointments and even under the weight of knowing you may not get there, but with a shimmering light to keep the way clear. I love hearing about dreams. I’ll ask you about what you really want, regardless of what you think is possible. I get excited as you reveal the details of your dreams with joy; And my imagination allows me to envision them for you.

But my logic and experience also allows my to present a road to get there, are you willing to walk down it? Often the challenges and long roads are too much to sacrifice, and it reveals our true values. Values are important, they drive our actions, decisions, and motivations. Being honest about what our values are- what they really are, is a meaningful first step to understand how we’re prepared to live.

So what about that dream? Maybe it isn’t a dream at all- maybe it’s just a fantasy, an escape. Or maybe it’s not. The thing about dreams is- you know how much you really want them from the depths you’re willing to go to reach them. A dream is not a fantasy, it’s a goal.

And that’s my full circle. The vision of my life has been unshattered through the turbulence, allowing me to inch forward step by step. I accept the sacrifice and the challenges, knowing that each day the choices are in my own hands. I remind myself that the work I create is not just products or pictures- but a vision of my way of life. I lean into creativity, imagination, hope and most importantly- the path that I believe is mine.
